According to TechCrunch, Meta rolled out Muse Voice, a feature that lets U.S. users call or video chat with the Muse AI avatar, on Thursday. The rollout uses new Muse Realtime Avatar and Muse Realtime Voice models, allowing the animated avatar to respond with subtle facial expressions and gestures.

The Verge reported that the voice mode is live in the iOS app, with avatars animating in sync with spoken words. Users can customise the avatar’s appearance and tone, and the feature is also being prepared for Meta’s AI Glasses and the upcoming Muse Charm hardware.

Both outlets say the service is initially available on mobile, web and Mac, with plans to extend to other devices later in the year.

Why it matters to your business

For founders, an AI assistant that can converse in real time reduces the time spent typing queries or navigating menus. It can handle tasks like scheduling, drafting emails or retrieving data while you stay focused on core decisions.

The visual avatar may increase user engagement, making employees more likely to adopt the tool for routine work. Early adoption could give a competitive edge in productivity as the feature expands to hardware like AI Glasses.

What to do on Monday

  1. Test the Muse voice/video chat on your phone or Mac this week to gauge accuracy for common tasks.
  2. Identify at least two repetitive tasks (e.g., meeting scheduling, data lookup) that Muse could automate and set up quick prompts.
  3. Brief your team on the new feature and establish guidelines for when to use the avatar versus traditional channels.
